ELA- This week we are answering the essential question "Why are natural resources valuable?" Our class will discuss the Earth’s natural resources and why they are valuable. We will also take a look at the Earth’s cycles.Our comprehension focus will be on author's point of view. For grammar we will be learning about possessive pronouns. The focus in spelling this week is words ending with -ture, -cher, -sure, and -zure. Math-This week we will continue to learn and practice how to rewrite a pair of fractions so that they have a common denominator, add and subtract mixed numbers with unlike denominators, and rename to find the difference of two mixed numbers. Social Studies-We are continuing to learn about the 13 colonies with a focus on Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth. TEST ON FRIDAY! Writing- The students will be writing a 5 paragraph expository on healthy habits,. Science- The students are working on a robotics unit with Miss Ziegler. Ms. MartinThis is my 13th year teaching in Billings Public Schools. I was born and raised in Billings and attended Billings Public Schools! I love spending time with my family. My daughter graduated from U of M and I love to go and visit her and watch the Grizzly football games. Sorry Cat fans! My son graduated from Billings Public High School and is playing golf for MSU-Billings. If I am not with my family, you can usually find me walking my golden retrievers Lola and Winston.
